Robert W. Wise, the senior member of Bremyer & Wise, grew up on a farm near Ames, Iowa. After graduating from McPherson College in 1956, Mr. Wise received his law degree with honors from George Washington University in 1961.  While in law school, he served on the Board of Editors of the George Washington Law Review.  Mr. Wise also received an honorary Doctor of Law degree from McPherson College in 1988.

Mr. Wise served as McPherson County Attorney from 1963-1965.  He was also on the State Board of Law Examiners, 1992-1995; Chairman of the State Ethics Grievance Committee, 1980-1982; Chairman of the Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section, 1979-1980; President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Kansas Bar Association, 1967-1968; and President of the Kansas Bar Association, 1990-1991.  Mr. Wise maintains an active membership in the McPherson County, Kansas and American Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute and the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel.  In addition, Mr. Wise has been admitted as a Fellow to the American Bar Foundation.

In addition to being appointed to the board of directors of several area business and charitable organizations, Mr. Wise was a delegate to the 1990 Moscow Conference on Law and Bilateral Economic Relationships and a delegate to the 1994 China Trade Conference in Beijing, China.  In keeping with his community involvement, Mr. Wise has been a past president of the McPherson Industrial Development Company, United Way of McPherson County, Memorial Hospital and the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.
